Video tutorial on the four different methods how to remove rust. Rust, also known as iron oxide is a chemical reaction between iron and oxygen or moisture that occurs on bare metal. Beyond steel, rust can also form on lower grades of stainless steel. It is very important to remove any rust from metal when applying a finish as it can jeopardize that finish by causing premature failure. The methods to remove rust are not limited to this video are beyond cleaning it by hand with just a wire brush, sandpaper, or an abrasive pad. Methods shown are mainly based for at home methods which can be done in the comforts of your own driveway.

-rust treatment (used in the video is Permatex Rust Dissolver Gel #80594)

-blasting media (glass bead, copper slag, walnut shells, steel shot, aluminum oxide, etc)

Procedure:
Method #1
-using a store bought solution which is a form of rust treatment
-cleaning up any flaking paint, dirt, or loose rust using sandpaper or a wire brush
-shake the bottle to ensure the solution is mixed, poor into a cup or container, then applying using a brush or sponge
-do not allow it to come in contact with paint as it can cause damage
-it takes abut 15-20 minutes for the rust to be converted
-rinse with clean water
-allow it to dry and apply more coats if needed
-allow the metal to dry for 24 hours to ensure no moisture is trapped when applying a final finish
-this will neutralize old rust and prevent new rust from forming as well
Method #2
-using white vinegar and submerging the parts in a container
-clean up the piece slightly with either sandpaper or a wire brush
-allow it to soak for a day or two, depending on the severity of the rust
-once satisfied, rinse with water and give it a clean up using an abrasive pad
-ensure it has dried overnight so there isn’t any moisture trapped in the surface
-now you’re ready to apply a coating of your choice
Method #3
-using a sandblaster or some form of media blasting
-there is a variety of blasting equipment along with media available on the market
-normally a larger air compressor is required considering a sandblaster is a direct air loss
-this will remove the rust with minimal work, access any pitted areas as well, and strip areas to bare metal
Method #4
-using a mechanical method such as power tools
-there are a variety of tools that can be used such as a drill, angle grinder, hand held sander, rotary tool, etc
-with these tools, you will have a variety of attachments or options such as grinding disks, sanding disks, sanding pads, abrasive pads, wire wheels, grinding stones, flap wheels, etc
-in the video a hand held sander is used along with 180 grit sandpaper
-unfortunately due to the pitting, the sandpaper is unable to reach those lower areas
-sometimes an abrasive pad can tackle that, other times you will need to use a wire wheel

Stretching exercises are the best workouts to help you obtain an increase in your height. There are some simple stretches that bring about improvement in the strength of the core muscles and the body posture. They also facilitate increase in the quantity of growth hormones released into the blood, which are responsible for making you taller. The movement of the body at the time of exercise, makes the body flexible, and as a result, the bones and cartilage are more receptive towards growth. Other than these stretching exercises, there are some yoga exercises that help you grow in height.
*Body Stretching: This is the most simple stretching exercise that can be done. To perform this exercise, you need a pull-up bar as an exercise equipment. You have to hang on the bar for about 5 – 10 minutes every day. While hanging, you have to change the grip continuously from underhand to overhand. Also, the spacing between the grip should also be altered after every few minutes. These changes are to be made, so that different sections of the muscles are stretched out well. It brings about a lot of improvement in your physical structure. If you have a bad posture, then it can be rectified with the help of this exercise. It helps to regain the body its natural shape. This exercise will help you to gain around one to one and half inches height quite easily.
*Legs and Spine Stretching: The best stretching exercise that can make your legs and spine flexible is the traditional form of ‘touching the toes’. Sit on the floor and extend your legs in the front. Now lean your body forward to touch the toes. While you bend to touch the toes, you should not bend your legs at the knees. In the initial stage, you may find it difficult to touch the toes. As you start doing it regularly and push yourself, you will find that you are being able to do it. Once you are able to touch the toes comfortably, you should wait in the position till you feel the stretch in your hamstring muscles and in the spine.
The next part is to follow a proper diet. If you want to grow taller you have to focus on some nutrient groups. Your diet should consist of a good amount of proteins. Proteins help in building and conditioning muscle as well as maintaining it. You also have to consume calcium which ensures growth and strengthening of the bones. The essential minerals too have to be consumed as human bones have a high mineral content. Vitamins ensure overall growth of the body. Phosphorus is another important nutrient as it works in tandem with the calcium in the body to strengthen the bones. Also make sure that you have your daily quota of drinking water.
Maximum growth of our body takes place when we sleep and hence, adequate sleep is necessary. It is said that HGH is released in the blood stream one hour after we fall asleep. Due to inadequate sleep, the HGH amount is reduced, and causes health problems. One should sleep for 8 – 9 hours, every night. Along with adequate sleep, the sleeping position is also a necessary factor to be considered.
Use a comfortable firm mattress to keep your spine straight, while sleeping. Soft mattress curves the spine, and should not be used. Try to sleep as much as possible in a straight position. Do not use a pillow while sleeping, but if you want to use it, use a very thin one. Another tip to grow taller is to sleep on your back. Adapting to these sleeping habits can be a bit difficult in the beginning, but with practice, you will find it easy to follow.
