FAQ Content
For a friend’s birthday present, Adam recently made this mock vacuum chamber and airtight space glove from scratch, and shows us how it works. The vacuum box is part prop and part puzzle–the user has to manipulate a set of nuts and bolts to complete a circuit to activate a sign. Best birthday present ever!
Safety First, but Its Safety Later, in this company.
Working in the Dark. Ghost Busters? No. Just doing termination of cables for the Mud Panel in the pontoon, in semi-sumersible oil rig. We were subjected to such working conditions almost everyday.
Notice they are wearing goggles and gloves. Good. See they managed to get a lamp to the panel. That’s Good. The one on the right is wearing a piece of cloth to the face. This is good because the area was full of dusts and foreign particles flying around.
i was asked by a crew member of the rig, why am i wearing a mask all the time. What ridiculous question. They didn’t know safety? Even the family of Malboro man is suing the tabacco company for causing him to die of cancer.
We get to be blasted when we board the rig. They were doing sand blastings all over the places for many days. We were not warned. i saw the crew covering their faces and ears as they ran past the blasting areas in the rig. We got metal pieces, dirt and other foreign particles in our neck and ears and inside the coveralls evertime we past the area where sand blasting was done.
Next to the rig, there were ships moving in and out the dock, and sandblasting is all daily routine. Ships or rig, we all got blasted all the time.
We were subjected to such working conditions almost everyday. Is this not abuse ? discriminate? or exploitation ?
